This webinar provides a unique, guided tour of the surface anatomy of your own hand, helping you to identify key bony landmarks, tendons, and intrinsic muscles. Anatomical variations, such as missing or multiple tendons, will be examined. Dissected specimens will also be used to visualize what lies under the skin.
Anatomy of the hand, as it appears in most textbooks, presents the most common presentation of anatomical features; however, anatomical variations are common and should be considered during hand therapy. In this webinar, fascinating and little-known facts will also be presented, such as the highly variable attachment of extensor pollicis brevis and the attachment of palmaris longus to abductor pollicis brevis, in addition to its well-documented attachment to the palmar aponeurosis.

At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Identify, on your own hand, palpable bony structures, extrinsic tendons, intrinsic muscles and components of the dorsal apparatus on the fingers
